20 minutes a day is all it takes to make a difference. I made a difference on my lunch hour today. You spend 20 minutes scrolling through social media, reading a magazine, watching a show, and who knows what else. What if you could use that time to change your health? Improve your blood pressure, cholesterol, metabolism, and get off of those medications that make you feel horrible and cause worse side effects than the reason you’re taking them? You have a choice. Your health is YOUR choice. No one else can decide for you. Sure, there are genetic deficiencies that prevent some folks from being able to control and maintain a healthy body. But if you’re not one of those people, and you’re unhealthy, it’s your own fault. And I can say that because I’ve been there. In high school, I never once topped 95 lbs, and that’s because I was in the bathroom after every single meal, sticking my finger down my throat to puke my guts up because I thought I was fat. I learned how to “properly vomit” as to keep stomach acid from ruining my teeth, but that definitely did NOT save my esophagus, because now water gives me heartburn. Then after giving birth to my son and a cancer scare, I let myself go to the point of having to be put on blood pressure medication, thyroid medication, pricking my finger twice a day to monitor my glucose level, drinking like a fish and smoking like a chimney. I wish I had taken better care of myself. I wish someone had shown me how. I wish someone would have told me the effect that those foolish decisions would have had on my mind and body later on in life. But I am here, and I am telling you now, TAKE. CARE. OF. YOURSELF. Make the time for yourself. You make time for everything else, so why do you not include yourself? I’m far from at my desired weight or physique and have neglected my training schedule over the past few months after other things have taken priority. But.... Fiz um gráfico simples pra tentar mostrar que não adianta passar a semana inteira com dieta restrita, conseguindo manter um déficit calórico se no final de semana vc se mata comendo e com número absurdo de calorias. Com isso, a média semanal vai ficar acima do que precisa para você emagrecer. . . Então não se iluda! Fazendo um cálculo por alto, o ano de 2019 tem 52 sextas, 52 sábados, 52 domingos, 9 feriados nacionais (sem contar os pontos facultativos e feriados municipais) + 30 dias de férias. Ou seja, são pelo menos 195 dias que vão interferir muito no seu resultado de perda de peso em 365 dias do ano! Refeições livres devem acontecer, e elas são fáceis de equilibrar com as outras refeições do dia.
