The sun sets on another day in Nashville, a trip that has brought me such tremendous highs but also some crushing lows and it’s hard being so far away from home at this sad time for my family. But I just wanted to share this email I received a couple of days ago.... it sums up this grass roots journey I am on and I just wanted say how grateful I am to everyone who shares my music with your friends, because word of mouth is how I make this work and how I keep on keeping on! So thanks all! 🙏 “.. well, every unit counts Elles!
Thought you’d like the story though. I helped a close friend assemble a new vinyl-based hi-fi, and went round to have a good listen this week. One of the many test records I took (along with Pink Floyd, Joe Cocker, Sufjan Stevens, The Mystery Jets, Daft Punk and The Temperance Movement) was Road I Call Home.
Much beer and whiskey was consumed, and the only album to be played the whole way through was - you guessed it - RICH. He loved it so much that a) he promptly bought a copy from your online store and b) insisted we must get some friends together for your upcoming Thekla gig. Another convert delivered 🤣” Thanks Lance for sending this to me and sharing my music with your friends, and for choosing my album with such a wonderful line up on that record player!! Hope the hangover wasn’t too bad the next morning 😉
Love and blessings from Tennessee ♥️
