A bowl of warm chocolate zoats sounds like a pretty good and energizing breakfast, right? 😏 This is a #throwback from earlier this year when strawberries finally came back in season 🍓 Berry season is slowly coming to an end now unfortunately, but figs, pumpkin and apples are also great AND seasonal foods to enjoy in autumn 🍂 The other toppings on this bowl are banana slices, cacao nibs and almond butter 👌🏼 I‘m grateful for realizing that I have to finally stop the self sabotage, for realizing that I have to get out of my own way. The softness and smell of my hair after washing it always makes me so so happy and refreshed 💇🏼‍♀️ I‘m grateful for books. There’s so much to read and also so much to learn. Books and reading NEVER get boring. Great for educating AND entertaining yourself. I’m currently reading a book about yoga and I’m learning so many new valuable things from it 📚 I‘m grateful for a good digestion. Digestion is becoming less and less of a taboo topic in our society which I think is AWESOME! Our digestive system is so important ob many levels - some people call it our second brain for a reason! And I mean, no one enjoys being bloated or having cramps, so I’m happy if everything goes down the way it is supposed to be 🤓 I’m grateful for oil pulling. Started it three weeks ago and wow, my teeth have gotten so much brighter in such a short amount of time! I didn’t expect this before, but I‘m really happy with the results 🦷 What are you grateful for today? 🌟

It’s been almost 3 years probably since I’ve made “overnight chia seed oats” bc i was scared of them??? I don’t know. But oh my gosh now I’m going to make them every morning for the next year probably. My first observation since I consumed this this morning: I was not hungry for 7 HOURS. And I had enough energy to do an 8 mi run in between there. These oats truly are full of some good good foods for you:) protein & collagen & fiber & fats all up in there. - Ok: the night before I put in a container 5 tbsp of oats & 1 tbsp chia seeds. And poured boiling water over them and mixed. I added cinnamon, @plantfusion Chocolate caramel protein, and their chocolate collagen as well. Chocolatey gooey goodness if you ask me. Cover & store in the fridge overnight. And in the a.m. comes the fun part, add in the things you want to top the oats with. I added @thebettermrkt CHAI ALMOND BUTTER (truly I support this brand strongly, based in brooklyn, and making some awesome products that are to die for), coconut flakes, semi melted frozen berries, and @erinbakers Chocolate granola. Since everyone keeps asking, here is the recipe: Ingredients pancake: 2 eggs (or 1 egg and 46g egg whites) 18g whey protein (I use @pescience gourmet vanilla flavor) 1/8 tsp baking soda Ingredients oatmeal: 1 packet instant oatmeal (I use @betteroats Organic Bare) 2/3 cup water 2 tbsp @waldenfarmsusa chocolate syrup Directions: Poor the oats in a microwave safe bowl or container. Add 2/3 cup of water. Mix and heat for 2 minutes in the microwave. Take out and immediately add 2 tbsp of chocolate styrup. Mix well and let it sit to cool and harden. Whisk the eggs, add the whey protein and mix well. Add the baking soda and mix well again. If consistency feels too thick add a tiny bit of water (but don’t make it too watery). I use zero calorie coconut oil spray for my pan and set it on low heat (3), wait till the pan is hot enough and then I poor it in the pan. Let it sit on that low heat if you don’t want the pancake to get too dark. Flip when one side is done and then it doesn’t take too long for the other side to be done. Take it out of the pan and let it cool down. I like to eat this cold so I wait for all of it to cool and then I scoop the oatmeal onto the pancake. If the oatmeal is hardened from cooling you can just cut it in two and put it on the pancake like that. Place it in the middle of the pancake and roll it up like a burrito. some oatmeal to kickstart the day 🥰 the base is Quaker quick-cook oats, almond milk, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and little salt( a trick I started doing a while back to bring out the sweet flavour). On top we’ve got some slice banana, crushed pecans, cocoa nibs(the health-twin of chocolate chips), and coconut shavings in the middle. Also not gonna lie, getting the coconut shavings into that ball formation was one of my prouder moments 🤪

Chocolate Mud Cake Porridge⁣ 🍫 When I say I like to make indulgent yet healthy food, this is l what I mean. Chocolate on chocolate etc. etc. You’re welcome. ⁣ ⁣ Ingredients:⁣ Porridge:⁣ 1/3 cup of steel cut oats⁣ 1 cup oat milk⁣ 1 tbsp cacao⁣ 1 tbsp coconut sugar⁣ 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste⁣ 1/2 tsp lemon juice ⁣ Pinch of Himalayan sea salt⁣ Optional extras: flaxseed meal, chia seeds⁣ ⁣ Topping:⁣ Chocolate granola⁣ Cacao nibs⁣ Banana⁣ Chocolate⁣ ⁣ Method:⁣ Add 1/3 cup of rolled oats, add ingredients. Cook for a min of 30 mins, add water if the oats start to form within that time, so the oats remain soft.⁣ ⁣ Test the oats, wait until they are soft, when the oats are just starting to form after 20 mins, serve.

These are rich and chocolatey with random ingredients I had on hand, including shortening instead of butter (like my grandma used to make), powdered sugar, oats, peanut butter powder and sugar free chocolate pudding mix! These could be made with fewer calories if you used other sweeteners and you could even add protein powder! ... Swipe left for the ingredients. Like a normal cookie recipe, I creamed the shortening and sugars first, then added eggs and vanilla. Then I combined the dry ingredients and mixed those in along with the chips. ... It has been awhile since I talked about a good oatmeal bowl! I’m still having different variations of oatmeal almost every morning, and today’s was SO good (and pretty) that I had to share! 👌🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ❤️THE BASE:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • 1/3-1/2 of a mashed ripe banana ⠀ • 1/2 c. Dry oats (can be milled, rolled, instant, whatever your heart desires and your cabinet has!) • 1/2-1 full scoop of chocolate protein powder — I’m currently using Amazing Grass Rich Chocolate, and the scoops are HUGE so I only do half. My personal favorite (@sunwarriortribe) I use a full scoop!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Dash of cinnamon ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Ground flax or chia for your plant based Omega 3s! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Water— I don’t measure anymore, but today I wish I had because the ratio was perfect for once! I just added enough that it still seemed VERY soupy when all stirred ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ❤️TO COOK: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Microwave for 2.5-3 minutes to make sure the oats actually cook all the way! side note- cooking on stove top is much better, I just don’t always have the time for that!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ❤️TOPPINGS:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • other half of your banana, sliced ⠀ • handful of strawberries, sliced ⠀⠀⠀ • handful of blueberries ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • BIG scoop of a nut butter (I go through phases, but have been stuck on peanut butter for awhile now 🤤), be careful here since nut butters add a LOT of calories! I always make the sacrifice and just add at least 2 Tbs. because it makes me happy ⠀ • Sprinkling of desiccated coconut ⠀ • More cinnamon! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is just one of my all time favorite combinations to make, but I also will just switch it up with adding @enjoylifefoods dark chocolate morsels, FROZEN fruit (add it before you microwave and it’ll get so warm🤤), or a nondairy milk to make it creamier if I messed up the water to oats ratio. I love oat meal porridge,I literally have it every morning when its cold and today is one of those days. my hubby doesn’t like me saying its cold when it’s only 18 degrees out😂😂. Try out this Chocolate banana oatmeal and I’m sure you will love it as much as I do. Recipe; In a cooking pot add 1 cup rolled oats, 1 tables spoon unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, sliced half a banana, 1 cup water and 1 cup milk of your choice. Let it boil in low heat for 10-15min. Add your preferred sweetener and serve hot, top with the remaining banana and some dark chocolate. Chocolate PB Banana Oatmeal. When cooking: Add 1 TB of maple syrup. 1 TB raw cacao powder or cocoa powder. 1 tsp cinnamon and salt. Mix in 2 TB of unsweetened PB near the end of cooking. Top with banana, chia seeds and raw cacao nibs. I use old fashioned gf oats.
