“So, Astrid, tell me about yourself.” Hiccup began as they sat together after buying her a new cup of coffee. Astrid wrapped her hands around her cup, enjoy the warmth and began. “Well, my parents and I moved here in Berk a few years ago after I graduated from university. We decided we wanted to experience living some place new. Once I settled down, I found a job as a pharmacist since I specialise in that during university. And during my free time, I like to spend time with my family and friends and sometimes just enjoy having some alone time.” She introduced herself and took a sip of her hot coffee. “What about you, Hiccup? Tell me about yourself.” She said as she took another sip. Hiccup’s lips lifted into a smile as he began. “Berk is my birthplace, but I moved away for a few years when I was young. Then I moved back just before university, so I’ve been here ever since. I’m working as a computer engineer, and I find it fascinating how computers work. During my free time, I love to draw because it helps to relax myself and relief a little bit of stress. I also have a dog named Toothless, so I enjoy bringing him out for walks too because it helps to get some things off my mind.” He said and drank his coffee, noticing that she was shy to maintain eye contact with him, so her eyes were fixed on her hands on the cup. “I love dogs. I think they’re loyal and such wonderful companions. I wish I had a dog,” she said softly. “They really are.” Hiccup replied and things got quiet for a moment, yet it didn’t feel awkward for some reason. Just by hearing the way she talks, the way she acts around him, he knew that she was truly different from any other girl he has met. Was he beginning to fall in love with Astrid? At the thought of that, he frowned. No, he said to himself that he would never love again. After what he has been through, he couldn’t go through that pain again. He needed to stop this before it was too late. He quickly checked the time on his watch. “I have to get going. I have some place I need to be at soon...” he lied and gulp down his remaining coffee, ignoring the disappointed look on her face.
