Pumpkin bread sticks Ingredients: 1 cup pumpkin purée 2 Tablespoons maple syrup 2 Tablespoons olive oil 2 teaspoons yeast 1/2 cup warm water 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour 2 teaspoons salt Mixed seeds ( pumpkin seeds , sesame seeds,flaxseeds....) Extra olive oil or one egg to brush the bread before adding the seeds. .... Method: Combine the pumpkin purée,maple syrup,olive oil,water,yeast in a big bowl and mix until incorporated,add the salt then flour gradually until you have a smooth and moist dough , knead the dough very well and let it rest for at least an hour or until doubled in size. Deflat the dough after rising and divide it into 6 equals pieces ( I used the scale ) form each piece into a log and transfer it on a lined baking sheet. Brush the logs with olive oil or egg wash snd sprinkle the seeds . Cover the bread with a clean kitchen towel for 30-46 minutes, then bake in a preheated oven ( 200C) for 20-25 minutes . I was always kind of scared to try cooking anything bc didn’t think I was good at it but slowly that is changing and honestly even a COOKING AMATEUR can: 1. Buy broccoli florets 2. lay them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper 3. Spray them with Pam coconut oil spray 4. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, Italian seasoning. 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Balsamic Salmon with Bulgur & Carrot is healthy and easy to prepare, perfect for a weeknight meal. Yet it’s still delicious and feels special enough to serve to guests. For an easy to print recipe head to https://itsthyme2cook.com/balsamic-salmon-with-bulgur-carrot/ or use this version below—> INGREDIENTS: Carrots 1 lb. peeled carrots split and cut into 2 inch chunks 1 tbsp. olive oil 1/4 tsp. kosher salt and ground black pepper Bulgur 1 c. coarse bulgur 1/2 tsp. kosher salt Salmon 4 center cut salmon fillets about 6 oz. each 1 tbsp. olive oil 4 tsp. balsamic glaze or pomegranate molasses kosher salt & ground black pepper to taste Assemble 2 oz. crumbled feta or other hard cheese 1 tbsp. snipped fresh dill 1 tbsp butter optional INSTRUCTIONS: Toss carrots with 1 tbsp olive oil and 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper. Arrange in a single layer on a rimmed sheet pan; roast at 400 degrees for 12 min. Meanwhile, bring bulgur plus 1/2 tsp salt and 2 cups water to a boil, then simmer 10 to 12 min. Pat dry salmon fillets. Brush skin side of all fillets with 1 tbsp olive oil. Flip and brush each fillet with 1 tsp balsamic reduction or pomegranate molasses and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stir carrots and move to one side of pan. Add salmon, skin side down, and roast 12-16 minutes more (depending on thickness of salmon.) Let rest 5 min, then remove skin and flake into large pieces. Toss salmon with bulgur, carrots, dill, feta and butter (if desired.) Presenting stuffed red peppers with mexican rice topped with homemade guac n sour cream and a heaped dose of cheese, cause admit it - cheese makes everything better. . Rice -1.5cups 250gms lean minced beef 1 large red onion 3-4 cloves crushes garlic 1 tbsp butter 3 tbsps EVOO 1 tin 400gms crushed smoked tomatoes 1 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp smoked paprika 1 heaped tsp cumin powder 3/4 tsp corriander powder 1 chicken cube stock Salt to taste 1/2 tsp dried oregano 1/4 cup frozen corn 1/4 cup kidney beans 2 - 3 tbsps finely diced black olives Heat butter and olive oil and add crushed garlic and onions. Saute until translucent. Add minced beef and brown Add all the dried masala and saute well Add tin tomato followed by rice and veg. Mix well and season with salt Top with about 2 cups of water and cook. De-seed large red capsicums. Fill with rice and place in a baking dish Fill the dish with a little water and bake in a preheated oven at 180c covered with an aluminium foil for 30 mins Remove the dish from the ovem and top with mozarella and broil again for 5 mins until lightly brown. Top with guac, parsely and sour cream. עוגת גזר ותבלינים הראשונה והמושלמת שלי 😍 סה''כ 158 קלוריות , 7 גרם חלבון לפרוסה גדולה עבה ועסיסית 🤗 מצרכים : 2 כוסות קמח לבן (310 גרם) 4 גזרים בינוניים/גדולים 3 ביצים 1 יוגורט 20 גרם חלבון 1.5% 1 שקית אבקת אפייה 1 כפית תמצית וניל ממתיק נוזלי איכותי (אני משתמשת בסוכרלוז נוזלי עם הפקק הצהוב) ששווה לרמת מתיקות של 1.5-2 כוסות סוכר 1/2 כף סודה לשתייה תבלינים: 1 כפית גדושה קינמון , 1/2 כפית אגוז מוסקט טחון , 1/4 כפית הל , 1/4 כפית ג'ינג'ר (זנגביל) מיובש טחו , קורט מלח. בערך 150 מ''ל מים לפי הצורך (בסוף) הוראות הכנה : מחממים תנור לחום בינוני 160-170 מעלות מרססים במעט ספריי שמן תבנית בינונית לתוך קערה מגרדים דק במפומפיה 4 גזרים ולא סוחטים את הנוזלים מוסיפים את ביצים , יוגורט , אבקת אפייה , תמצית וניל , סודה לשתייה ואת התבלינים ומערבבים היטב. לאחר שהבלילה אחידה מנפים את הקמח פנימה ומערבבים היטב. התבלילה יוצאת סמיכה לכן מוסיפים במידת הצורך את המים בהדרגה תוך כדי עירבוב עד שהמרקם נראה מתאים. מעבירים לתבנית ומכניסים לתנור ל20-30 דקות , מומלץ להציץ כל כמה דקות. כשהעוגה נראת מוכנה ניתן לבדוק בעזרת נעיצת קיסם במרכז העוגה. לאחר שהעוגה מתקררת לחתוך ל10 יחידות כל יחידה = 158 קלוריות ו7 גרם חלבון בתאבון 😘 . . . . . . . #carrotcake #carrots #cake #weightloss #fitessmotivation #lowcalorie #fitfood #foodideas #israel #cinnamon #recipes #cakerecipes #eatright #easyrecipes #fitnesslife #motivation #fit

Are you getting enough fibre? We need lots of fibre in our diet maintain our digestive health. It also helps keep us fuller for longer and can assist in preventing diseases such as type2 diabetes, heart disease and bowel cancer. I love Jerusalem artichokes, a super tasty and versatile source of fibre, but they can be hard to get hold of in UK shops. To make sure I never run out, I decided back in spring to start growing my own veg in the garden. Unsurprisingly the project failed due to various reasons (slugs mainly) so these ones are bought from #ocado 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not only are they a great prebiotic (they feed your good gut bacteria) due to their high inulin content. They can also help reduced blood pressure and cholesterol and they are high in iron and protein! This fibre super boost salad contains steamed and cooled (this increased the prebiotic properties) baby potatoes, raw Jerusalem Artichokes, radishes, sugar snaps, red onion and capers. With a dressing of EVOO, apple cider vinegar and Dijon mustard. Homemade White Sauce Pasta 🍝 Ingredients: *2 cup water *1cup Macroni/Pasta *Oil *Salt *Garlic *Vegetables of your choice *2 tbsp Butter *2 tbsp White flour *2cup Milk *Mixed Oregano and Chilli Flakes Recipe: -Take a pan put 2 cups of water. Add Macroni/Pasta to it. Add 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp salt. Let it boil. -Take another pan add 2 tbsp oil, add garlic cook it. Add vegetables of your choice. Mix well untill cooked. Now keep the cooked vegetables in a separate container. - Take the same pan, add 2 tbsp of butter and 2 tbsp of white flour. Mix it well. It will turn light brown or yellowish. - Add milk into it while mixing it slowly slowly. Don't let the lumps formed. Add Chilli Flakes and Oregano. - Cook it well untill it starts sticking on the spoon. Mix all the ingredients. Add oregano and chilli flakes if you want. Mock nando spicy "rice" 🌶️🌶️🌶️ With our nandos sauce slathered grilled chicken I made a mock version of their spicy rice using quinoa. I added more veggies and some peas to give it more of a nutritional boost along with the protein and fibre packed quinoa seeds 1 capsicum, diced 1 onion, diced 2Tbsp olive oil 3/4c quinoa, rinced under a running tap 1 1/2c chicken bone broth or chicken stock 1tsp paprika 1/2tsp garlic powder 1/2tsp tumeric 1tsp cumin Grind of pepper 1/4tsp chilli powder (optional) 2-3Tbsp hot Nandoes sauce 1c frozen peas (optional) Saute on a medium heat the capsicum and onion in olive oil until softened. Add everything but the peas and mix through. Simmer covered until the quinoa has softened all the way through and the liquid has been absorbed. Ahi Tuna Taco Recipe: - Ahi Tuna - Avocado - Shredded green and red cabbage - Lime juice - Spicy Mayo - Homemade Sauce - Corn Taco Shells Homemade Sauce: - 1 tbsp Hoisin Sauce - 1 tbsp Honey - 2 tbsp Sesame Oil - 2 tbsp Soy Sauce (I used Braggs Liquid Aminos) - Juice of 2 limes - 1/2 tsp minced ginger - 1 tsp Hot Sauce of choice Use dressing as a marinade for the tuna and mixed with the shredded cabbage. Dice tuna and slice avocado. Make spicy mayo to taste with mayonnaise and sriracha. Combine all ingredients on taco shell and enjoy! *can sub out tuna for shredded chicken or steak or Brussels sprouts*
Chicken Tikka Masala 🥘🍴 What’s your favourite Indian dish? My go to has always got to be the classic Chicken Tikka Masala. If you’re craving an Indian dish or maybe even an Indian takeaway, why not rustle together this quick and easy recipe. Your taste buds will be satisfied 💥 and you can remain guilt free 💭 RECIPE👇🏼 Serves 2 〰️1 whole onion🧅 〰️2 garlic gloves, minced🧄 〰️ Coconut milk 180ml (can use more or less to achieve desired thickness)🥥 〰️ 2 large chicken breasts 🍗 〰️ Tomato purée 2tbsp🍅 〰️ Water 150ml💧 〰️ 1tsp salt 🧂 〰️ 1tsp coriander, chilli powder and turmeric 〰️ 2tsp sugar 〰️ Rice of choice 〰️ 1 1/2 tsp garam masala STEP 1 Heat a small amount of oil (any of your choice) in a frying pan and toss in the diced onion and sauté until it had softened slightly. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute STEP 2 Add all spices and let cook for 20 seconds before adding the tomato purée and water. Leave to simmer for 8-10 minutes. In a separate pan cook the diced chicken breasts for roughly 10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through and leave until later use. STEP 3 Add the sauce into a blender and pulse until you have a smooth mixture STEP 4 Next, transfer back into a pan and add the coconut milk and sugar as well as the cooked chicken and simmer for a further 5 minutes to infuse all flavours. If sauce is too thick you can add small amounts of water until your desired consistency is reached STEP 5 Serve with cooked rice
Mini Feta and Vegetable Frittatas 1 red pepper, diced 8 oz crimini mushrooms, sliced 1 onion, diced 2 tbsp olive oil 9 eggs, beaten 2-4 oz feta, crumbled In a medium skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add mushrooms, onions and peppers and cook until vegetables are tender and starting to brown, about 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and remove to a bowl to cook slightly. Preheat the oven to 375°. Add beaten eggs and feta to the veggies in the bowl and mix well. Divide the mixture between 18 sprayed muffin cups and bake until a toothpick comes out clean and tops are lightly golden.
