Don't normally post stuff like this but last night I saw Grandia coming to Switch and instantly bought it. It was the game that made want to make games, the thought of creating an adventure for people to enjoy really appealed to me. If you got any own stories how you got into games/game dev i'd love to hear them. :) #grandia#switch#gamedevstory#games
👾DEV LOG #1 of #tvgamejam
✖️Terrain was a little hard to make. Fucked with my mind a little since this is my first take on 3D games.
✖️The player kept falling through the ground.
✖️Had to watch 5 YouTube videos to set-up a note with a couple of instructions.
💪 But it was worth it.
Game Dev Story is one of the rare phone games that I actually like.
You develop games, you give them silly names, you make money, you spend money. You buy licenses for new systems by Intendro and Senga. It's great if you like video games and the idea of managing a business.
Also the parody consoles exist in a world where Sega stayed successful, and the Xbox360 and the PS3 didn't exist, and instead there were successful consoles by SNK and Sega, which I thought was a good twist considering the prior consoles were pretty much based on reality.
Anyway this game was like 4 bucks and had no micro transactions, and I had a good time with it.
Anyone played the new Switch ports of Kairosoft’s Game Dev Story or Hot Springs Story? Really want to check them out but want to hear some feedback first! Haven’t played a fun simulator game in a while.
