Most people wait until the new year to make a change in their life. A little over a year and half ago I decided to make a change. It hasn't been an easy journey but I continue to push myself and set goals for myself. Bulking Update. 4 weeks in 2 1/2 pounds up! Feeling thick, strong & happy! Cals are up to 2400 and slowly increasing when needed to over come plateaus. Keeping in mind fat gain is normal and focusing on how awesome it's going to be to see the hard work pay off. Prioritizing strength in the gym and hitting PR's I never thought I could reach! ••••••••••••••• This process is hard dont get me wrong. Most women cant get passed the number on the scale and dont want to sacrifice the leaner look. However to grow or to be "toned" you gotta fuel your body. EAT!!! 😋 I really do enjoy bulking. Like I said in a previous post it's been a few years since I did a full on bulk and I gotta say I forgot how much enjoy it. You learn so much about yourself and your body and what it can do! WHAT'S YOUR WHY? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is a re-make of a post I did several months ago, but is something I've been thinking about quite a bit lately, particularly as I've been working with my first group of fat-loss clients. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Raise your hand if you would rather be fit and healthy rather than overweight and sick? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now raise your hand if you ARE as fit and healthy as you want to be, rather than the alternative? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So what makes the difference between those of us who are fit and healthy, and those of us who aren't? We all have the same 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year to work with. Why is it that some people, even those who are busier and lead more hectic lives than the rest of us still manage to maintain their weight and fitness levels? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I personally think it all boils down to priorities, and having a goal in sight that keeps us focused on what we really want in life, rather than getting distracted by detours that will keep us from our goals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Take exercising for example. In order to build and maintain a strong healthy body it takes a certain amount of minimal effort and time investment on a consistent basis, week after week, month after month. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But how many of us NEVER exercise? They may claim they are too busy, but I'll bet good money they aren't too busy to watch their favorite TV shows and movies, play their favorite video games, or spend an hour a day or more on social media or surfing the web. Would it really be so hard to shift priorities a little bit and make time for regular exercise? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That's exactly what I did not too long ago. I decided that being there for my kids, both now and in the future, was my top priority. I shifted my focus, found my motivation, and made some changes. And now I'm leaner and stronger than I've ever been in my life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So what about you? What's your why? Where do you want to be 1 year, 5 years, or even 20 years from now in terms of health and fitness? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let me know in the comments below!

You know when you are at an uncomfortable weight for yourself. . . . October 2018 – Present I was around 150 lbs, and I was very uncomfortable in the left photo. . . Yes, I know I have abs, which is a blessing and a curse. Where I hold my body fat is my legs, my hamstrings, and my butt. If you didn’t know, being a big quadded girl and combining holding fat in these areas, . . . IT SUCKS. Just saying. . . We all have our struggle areas. I wanted to give up on working on bettering myself because it feels like it takes FOREVER to get where I want to go, but then I remind myself, this is an ongoing process. If I got everything I wanted instantly, I wouldn’t appreciate the journey, and I would move on to something else to conquer. . . What I can tell you to get where you want to go, it will take consistency. . . . Lifting weights, sometimes cardio sessions, hitting your nutrition 100%, and a lot of heart. . . Yes, you need all the statistics, BUT YOU ALSO need to remember why you wanted to do this in the first place. . .
