When your smoothie is so thick the spoon just sort of stands there by itself 👏🏻🙌🏻 Smoothie bowls for breakfast this morning on this fine and sunny Sunday morning! ☀️ This is just the usual chocolate and peanut butter smoothie which I’m addicted to as you can tell from all my past posts on it! Almond milk, cacao powder, frozen bananas, peanut butter and protein powder. I usually use @twoislandsco salted caramel protein powder but if I use their chocolate or peanut butter protein powder (like I did today) I just add a few soaked dates to give it that caramel sweetness which you can easily do too if you don’t have a caramel protein powder!

Cookies! The perfect addition to the lunchbox, especially if you want to win the #bestmomever title 🤩 For real though, these gluten-free chocolate chip cookies were a hit in my house! The boys loved them! . Cookie Recipe- • 2.5 cups almond flour • 1/4 cup coconut sugar • 1/4 organic cane sugar • 3 scoops @furtherfood chocolate collagen peptides • 1/2 cup butter • 2 eggs • 1 tsp vanilla • 1/2 tsp baking soda • 1/4 tsp sea salt • 1-1.5 cups chocolate chips Mix all wet ingredients in a mixer and then add the dry ingredients. Once combined, fold in the chocolate chips. Use a tablespoon to scoop the cookies onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake on 350F for 13-15 minutes. This is my first time trying Trader Joe’s cauliflower gnocchi after constantly seeing it in posts. I must say, it was pretty darn good! I don’t think I would eat it plain, but with pesto and parmesan, I couldn’t ask for a better comfort food! Literally one of new favorite cookies, tahini cookies with almonds!!! They are the perfect on the go snack and are not too sweet 👌🏻 a great guilt free treat ;) INGREDIENTS: • 1 cup of whole meal flour •1/2 cup of almond flour • 1 1/2 heaped t coconut oil (melted) •1/3 cup tahini •cinnamon to taste •pinch of salt • almond milk (only if required-batter too dry) Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and roll into cookie balls, place 2 almonds on each cookie, then place into the oven for 10-15 minutes on 160 degrees Celsius fan forced. This time last week I was at our team’s leadership retreat with some Rockstar women! That retreat totally set me on fire 🔥 again! But I also wouldn’t trade this precious time with my family just relaxing in the pool/hot tub today. It’s so relaxing and I can’t wait for our own pool to be completed and ready for next swim season! Missing all my girls but loved reconnecting with them. And I know we are all enjoying our families even more because of this opportunity 😉. . Why did I go through a year-long program to become a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach? ⠀ Last year in February, I joined a network marketing company. I know, crazy! But this decision led to much more than just some extra income. ⠀ I met @jennifer_ragazzo who is a Functional Medicine Health Coach and partnered with the same company. I was so interested in what she did as I had never heard of a health coach before. But as soon as she explained it to me, I knew this was gonna be it. ⠀ You see, I had been looking for another avenue to share my passion for all things Health, medical, and science with the world other than Emergency nursing when I experienced this one incident... ⠀ A grandmother brought her 12-year old granddaughter in, and I was her triage nurse. I got her weight like normal, and the grandmother asked how much the girl weighed - also rather normal. I told her the weight. ⠀ “Wow, you’re fat!” Grandmother said. ⠀ That wasn’t even what completely broke my heart... ⠀ “It’s fine. They got a pill for that!” ⠀ 😭 Why does a 12 year old girl think there’s a pill for her obesity?! Because our society and medical system teaches people that there’s a pill for everything, and natural ways of supporting your body don’t work. ⠀ That’s when I knew I wasn’t going to be able to make the difference I was created to make working in the Emergency Department. I loved my time there, and don’t regret it all, but God had a different plan. ⠀ Being on the other side in Functional Medicine. And what better way to help the health of our kids than to help other mamas? After all, mamas are the game changers! ⠀ So, here I am, a year later - a former pediatric RN running two home businesses both promoting my philosophy of keeping health simple with cleaner living. ⠀ And about to host my first webinar all about detox! And not your rigid smoothie cleanses, colonics, or expensive pills, but teaching the basics of your natural detox system, why it’s important, and how to start supporting it. ⠀ It’s crazy what can happen in a year, and I’m excited to see what happens next.
