Drafted by the Detroit Red Wings #6
Overall 2019. Very interesting pick for the Red Wings at number 6. Were there better options available, yes, but Seider is still a great pick with lots of potential. This year Seider was playing in Germany’s top league(DEL) and notched 2 goals and 6 points in 29 games played. He won DEL Rookie Of The Year. Seider, standing at 6-foot-4, has great skating abilities. He has a long and strong stride and is quick going both directions. He also has great edgework and can pivot well. Every now and the Seider likes to join the rush up ice. He moves the puck well and has decent hands. With his high hockey IQ Seider can make smart plays and set up teammates for opportunities. He’s also very effective on the power play. One thing he can work on offensively is a stronger shot and walk the line more. Defensively Seider plays a physical game and challenges the other players. He’s needs to work on defensive positioning better.
