this was the most fun I’ve had drawing in a while!! I just barely finished the new link’s awakening this week and the ending animation was sO GOOD I just HAD to redraw it (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
The Legend of Zelda Links Awakening is a beautiful remaster of the 1993 original. It combines the simple yet elegant gameplay alongside perhaps the best graphics I’ve yet to see in any switch game so far. I’d go as far as saying it’s better visually than BOTW. I usually don’t play Zelda games but this game really hooked me and made me want to finish it start to finish. I played on the new switch lite and so far I’m having an amazing time with it. The boss fights are challenging and the dungeons can sometimes make you confused on what to do next however the game does a good job at trying to guide you without exactly pointing it out. There are telephone buildings that you can go to that’ll give you hints. The regular enemies are varied and each provide a unique take on the classics. I get aprox. 4 hours of gameplay at 100% battery which is definitely more than enough to be playing comfortably. Despite the great gameplay the only big issue with it is the performance, the game runs natively at 576p-720p 60 FPS in handheld mode and 720-1080p 60fps docked. I’m having issues with frame rate drops that occur when entering new areas or if near the swamp portion of the game. They don’t degrade the game to the point of unplayable but are definitely noticeable. I’m sure Nintendo already knows this and are working to make a patch however considering the length of time it takes for them to come out with patch we’ll be waiting a while. So far the game itself is definitely worth the $60 and I’d go as far to say at $45 you’re getting great value for your money.
Overall Zelda earns a solid 8.5/10 and is a must buy this year.
