Yesterday I got to spend the entire day in a room of 400+ Kingdom-minded entrepreneurs, investors, and church + business leaders. I am so thankful for the ways Lipscomb has provided me with incredible mentors and equipped me to take risks, pursue callings, and honor God through business. I want to share some of my key takeaways. I hope they resonate with you like they did me...
1. God was the first entrepreneur. He created everything out of nothing and took a risk by creating human beings with freewill. Human beings that could chose to not love him. Risk, creativity, passion. All worth it to Him.
2. Passion is a side effect to mastering the work we are called to do. It’s less about only doing what makes you happy and more about working hard to become the best at what you you’re doing. Mastering something is in line with Jesus’ example of leading first.
3. Siri doesn’t give directions until you make the first move - “proceed to the route”. Move first and THEN God will give you direction. Don’t wait until you have all the answers.
At Lipscomb, we believe that leadership means service to others. That innovation is most powerful when it has a clear purpose. That truth emerges from the quest for deeper knowledge and deeper faith. 💜💛 #lipscombuniversity
