A new back to school outfit⁣ I loved getting to pick one out with my grandma when I was growing up⁣ I can still remember what I wore my first day of 6th grade. (1990)⁣ Purple shirt with shoulderpads, ⁣ White shorts with pleats ⁣ Purple scrunch socks⁣ White Keds⁣ ⁣ I felt so cute.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ That feeling came back today as I got⁣ dressed. ⁣ See, this may seem like just a little outfit but I bought this top late last night because ⁣ “I had nothing to wear”⁣ ⁣ Tell me if you can relate. ⁣ I had $40 kohl’s cash. ⁣ A few years ago I would have had to skip things I wanted⁣ Or put items back⁣ Because I couldn’t go over that $40⁣ Kohl’s cash I had. ⁣ ⁣ Now I coach, ⁣ I help others on their journey as I kick butt on my own journey. ⁣ I make a side income that bought this outfit ⁣ (And a few more for the next few days). ⁣ No I am not paying off my house...yet⁣ Or my student loans with it...yet⁣ ⁣ But this extra income each month makes it so I don’t have to put a cute top back on the rack. ⁣ ⁣ What could a side income do for you???

A WORK IN PROGRESS and learning to understand others is my focus for this school year. Time to dive into more PD because I am a life long learner and know that my health and wellness has as much to do with my mindset and my meals!

There comes a point in your work out where 99% of your body wants to quit, ⁣⁣ your lungs are burning, ⁣⁣ your muscles are shaking, ⁣⁣ and quitting, ⁣⁣ well that feels familiar. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But then,⁣⁣ in that one moment, ⁣⁣ you have to drowned out that 99%, you have to shut down the naysayers, the doubters, ⁣⁣ And your own insecurities. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ In that moment you have to decide that⁣⁣ Your goal, ⁣⁣ your work out, ⁣⁣ Your body that you have,⁣⁣ is worth it.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ And when you overcome that moment. ⁣⁣ When you exhale on the other side of that moment. ⁣⁣ There is no better feeling. ⁣⁣ No bigger smile. ⁣⁣ That feeling⁣⁣ It’s called triumph⁣⁣ And it’s awesome!

I talk a lot about this community that I have become a part of Helping me with my health and wellness journey but it’s so much more than that. They’ve helped change my life. What I don’t talk about enough, is this amazing man who stands by my side through it all. 10 years ago when I wanted to do weight watchers for the millionth time, he said OK, when I’ve tried random diets I found in the back of a magazine, he said OK, when I came to him two years ago and said to him “ I want to be a health and wellness coach and help others as well as myself be our best self” he said “Whatever you need to be your best self babe.” He supports me and my business COMPLETELY. He has started to work on his own health and wellness through this. He tells me that he’s proud of me, he holds down the fort when I have team calls, power hours I am pushing through, and when I travel to different places to grow my business. There is no way that I would be where I am today without him and grateful, will never be a strong enough word to describe what I feel for him.

So this last week I was talking about this new program I am so excited about. Consistency will beat out short bursts of intensity every time Woah, if that didn’t give me a gut check this weekend I am queen of like 30 days of no grains Or I am going to do_______ for one week. Here’s what I am learning. The hustle is good, it can give you results...short term. But if you want to REAL results The results that last That That comes with Consistency That’s why I am focusing on on Nutrition that with stands the test of time And 100 short workouts. The minute I started to believe in me, my life changed I won’t tell you it was easy. I was 225lbs, I had tried “everything” I had succeeded and failed more times than I care to admit. I was researching weight loss surgeries And had succumbed to the fact that I was just “Predestined” (by my genes) To be overweight and unhealthy. Then one day I just decided to Start over. To try again But this time I did it differently I have support I have a team I have a purpose, a why And I have belief In ME Friends, hear my heart You can do this Even if you don’t have the belief in yourself YET I believe in you I believe that you can do hard things That you can push through the tough times I believe that consistency will prove to be the best ally you have On your journey. I’m still here. Vacation has been a challenge Along with stomach issues. So today I began my day with grace Workship music And Yoga And it was just what I needed. Start today with a grateful heart and make the best of the day!
It’s been a long week of travel. Don’t get me wrong, it’s what we work hard and save for. We love exploring new places, Having new experience, and Making new memories. But there is something to be said about the greatness of HOME. I have learned that home isn’t a place, A city, A building, Or a town. Home is where my kids and husband are. Home is where I feel totally me. Home is where I feel safe and sound and loved. I am so looking forward to being home with my kids and hubby. In the mean time, time to fly back to Az for a few more days.

I could focus on the fact that I am still considered “overweight” That I am still wearing a size 14/16 That I still have to put my knees down for pushups most of the time That I still have moments where I “binge” something I know doesn’t fuel my body That I still am not a runner BUT Instead I am focusing on The fact that I Did half of these spider push up from my toes before I modified Upped my weights on every move from last week That I FEEL stronger everyday That 80% of the time I eat to fuel my body That I am beautiful, confident, and strong Your perception is your reality. Change your perception...change your life.
