If you’ve caught yourself self-sabotaging...
Read this. But let me give you a little back story.
I’ve been working on a big project that involves interviewing 20+ top experts in the wellness industry. Yesterday, I had the honor of interviewing @karenmartelnutrition
in which we dove into conversation surrounding the various aspects of a weight loss journey.
We chatted about how sometimes, no matter how clear a plan is, clients find themselves self-sabotaging in various ways. Can you relate? 🤔 because I know I can! 🙋🏽♀️
I’ve been there. I am there. And Karen’s wisdom helped me understand what’s going on, as I hope it will be for you, too.
By deciding to change, being presented with the tools to change, and then actually following through to produce change is f-ing. scary. to our subliminal.
✨Consciously, we think we want X result.
👉🏽Subconsciously, we have no idea how to identify as X.
When you become this new identity...
What will you think about, if it’s not food 24/7?
What kind of association (people you surround yourself with) will this new identity require?
How will people treat you differently?
We’ve never been her/him. We’ve never lived this life as her/him.
So, we self-sabotage to prevent us from stepping into this new, foreign identity. ‼️The big question: How do we move through this?
✅ Through the means that speaks to you - whether that be journaling about who this new man/woman is (what does he/she think about? What does/he she do with her time?), yoga, body work, meditation, movement. Whatever resonates. The most beautiful part of this life is that YOU always get to choose 😉
Does this resonate? Have you found yourself in a self-sabotaging position? How did you breakthrough to the other side? Share below 🙏🏽⤵️
I love you. Xo
