Sometimes life is shit but, as my amazing colleague Sarah reminded me last night, there’s lots of light and joy all around us. A couple of years ago my amazing in-laws and hubby clubbed together and got me a hot air balloon ride. I was reminded of it this morning when I saw one in the distance. The whole experience was brilliant, an amazing treat. At one point the pilot turned the burner off and we just floated above the Nene Valley. It was blissfully quiet and peaceful.
I teach in class about finding somewhere, either real or imaginary, that helps couples feel calm and at peace. It’s often somewhere they’ve been together in holiday or a treasured childhood memory. Focussing on that place whilst using the breath to find calm deepens that gorgeous sense of relaxation. It can be really powerful when tough feelings or sensations threaten to overwhelm. Even writing this post has helped me feel more positive this morning. 🧘♂️🙂 #calmandrelaxed#thewisehippo#amazingbirth thank you @thulamamadoula#memories#breathwork#hypnobirthing#joy#findyourtribe#practicewhatyoupreach#kettering#ketteringtown#northantshypnobirthing
