Could you imagine looking at a whole day’s worth of photos and sobbing at how you looked?
Alllll the memories of our first NYC trip have started to pop up on Facebook. I remember being SO excited. Eric and I + about 30 of our Fire Dept friends and family loaded up a motorcoach and drove to NYC. We spent 2 nights there and did so much, I barely remember sleeping.
But THAT trip made me have my "come to Jesus" moment about my health
I covered up in jeans and long sleeve shirts when it was 70 and sunny every day because I didn't have any shorts that fit from that summer.
I wore TWO layers of spanx under my tops to flatten out as much as possible
I stopped climbing half way through the Statue of Liberty because I got winded and dizzy
I didn't say no to a single slice of
NYC pizza, or sweet treats in Little Italy
And when I got back to the hotel each night, I cried looking at all of these pictures with some of the most important people in my life, and didn't want to post a single one of them because I HATED how I looked
Sometimes I need to take myself back to how I felt on that trip to REMEMBER why I started, and how far I've come.
I NEVER want to go back to feeling that way again
