Finished with this #stainedglasslantern blanket! (Pattern by @lillabjorncrochet )I’m calling it “stained glass at sunset” 🌅 I couldn’t block this bad boy (hence the wiggly edges) because it is huge and I just don’t have the floorspace/blocking materials for something this size. I also found it impossible to take a good full-size picture so Cinnamon is supplementing. This took 51 weeks (due to supply issues mostly) and is a whopping 14 lbs!! Thanks @hausofyarntn for all the great yarn ☺️ #malabrigorasta@malabrigoyarn#summerproject4
As part of a church art display on The Stations of the Cross, I made this lantern to signify the Resurrection. After researching some images as a starting point, I came up with the empty tomb image and the lily. The construction of the tomb part of the lantern came out in an interesting way; is it a view from inside the tomb, or outside? The last image is one that gave me inspiration for this piece. Thanks for looking!
