Ladies and gentleman i present to you, THE UGLIEST SQUAT I’VE EVER DONE!!! 😂🤦🏻‍♂️ 635 FIFTEEN POUND SQUAT PR 🔥🔥🔥 Let me explain. Every once in awhile i have days where my brain and confidence are just all over the place and lacking. That was today. The second and third videos show this. I walked out 635 twice, stood there, set my feet and breathed, and walked it back in. Felt crushed and defeated. But i came here for a PR tonight. And I wasn’t leaving without one. Turned off the music, silent rage, down and back up. Ugly but i got it. And quite frankly on a day like today, that’s all that matters. My squats have been improving and looking better lately so i know i can clean this up and hit way more soon. Don’t quit. Don’t let it beat you. Keep grinding and keep working every day. Full Meet Recap: 7/9. 325kg total. BW at 56.4kg - 1. 110 squat shown here. I went 2/3 and tried for my PR on the 3rd at 117.5, but it wasn't in the cards today. 2. 65 bench shown here. I stayed conservative with my numbers, got called on a technicality for my opener but this was a big meet PR for me with more in the tank! 3. 150 deadlift. See previous post for the whole story, but I went 3 for 3 with more to give. This was a long time coming and I was thrilled to get it. - I competed in Regionals just 11 weeks ago and managed to add 10kg to my total with a slightly lower bodyweight. It was my 2019 to make Nationals and it was a joy to get to do it in my home state! Hot yoga is easy. It’s like regular yoga except your mat is on fire and you’re on fire and by the end of it you’re in a fiery savasana burning off all the shit that doesn’t serve you 🙌🏽🔥 . . . Thank you @cariyaya for another incredible class tonight! This felt like one of my strongest most meditative Bikram practices ever. I just kept reminding myself to control my breath and the rest will follow and making an effort not to avoid any postures. I use the 5 second rule- count backwards from 5 and then ACT on whatever it is you’re thinking about doing before your brain has time to stop you. What’s something in your that you want but you haven’t achieved? Do you want to be a morning person? Are trying to develop healthier habits or maybe kick a not so healthy habit? 5..4..3..2..1. DO IT. Don’t hit the snooze. Take the stairs. Skip the donut today. Do the thing. Whatever that thing is for you just do it, do it scared, do it with shaking hands and a trembling voice. Soon, you won’t be afraid and you’ll stand tall and speak with confidence about your goals and the life you want for yourself. 5..4..3..2..1 What are you acting on?

The dumbbell pullover works your chest great, but it’ll also test many stabilizer muscles throughout your body, specially those in the abs, upper back/scapular region. Poorly developed stabilizer muscles can be a “weak link” that causes a plateau. Helps with the vacuum pose and also the works the serratus anterior (the “rib muscles”). If you have shoulder problems try doing it on the ground like I am doing here. 💪🏻
