The streets may be messy at parts, yes there is a lot of homelessness, the traffic can get crazy, and sometimes finding parking can take longer than the actual activity that you’re out to do, but I choose this city over any other major city. Hands down.
As I look back on my feed, I notice all of the nature and open landscape photos from the Desert, and the contrast with the majority of my recent pictures of buildings. I’ve been exploring a nature that’s different from the Deserts vastness, and experiencing what humans have created in the city. I’ve always been a nature lover that preferred places where I can be alone, but being here has given me a specific sort of appreciation for a life of being surrounded by so many people, and the sights that such a unique place has.
It will be nearly 3 months since our venture to the Bay Area, and I can honestly say that it’s the biggest adventure that I’ve been on yet. I’ve gotten to the point where I no longer need my GPS to tell me how to get home or to work, where I can parallel park and drive in traffic. I’m getting more comfortable crossing the streets, and expectant of people always being around. Although the Coachella Valley is forever home, this isn’t a bad place to be either ✨
