This pose is great to calm the body, clear the mind, reduce stress and fatigue. When the child’s head is down, there are no distractions and they can just focus on their breathing. As they hold in this pose, the muscles at the front gently relaxes.
A stressed child or one with worries does not learn. A part of the brain takes over and impacts on the cognitive centres. A child under stress may display behaviours of tantrums, defiance, and avoidance to protect themselves from stress.
If you feel that your child is under stress, worries or has circumstances that are blocking them from learning, click on our website and book your child in one of our yoga sessions to awaken their potential.
