A selection of my favourite yarns beautifully captured by photographer @helencbrook ✨📷 Very few of of my yarns have been bought new, many have been donated or found at local charity shops and clear out sales! Although my supplies are starting to run a little thin 🧶♻️
There is an ecstatic little girl over here who can't wait for this photo shoot to be done so she can wear her new hat. .
I don't think she'll even wait for the faux fur pom to be attached!
It was a fun experiment in color, and now I have a better idea for sizing/gauge when using two strands of yarn. I hope to nail down a child size and adult size so that I can make mommy-and-me sets for the Christmas craft fairs!
🌸A little update on this kids rug, which I still haven’t been able to finish...I’m waiting for more dark blue yarn to arrive so I can fill the background. That’s the problem when you play it by ear. One skein only got me this far (I ordered 3 but they were shipped separately). It’s a pleasure to punch on linen with wool rug yarn and my only complaint is the cost! 💙
When you find that “OMG, This Is Perfect” item ✨😍✨ Tap on the link in bio to order all you need to realize this amazing crochet filet set of three doilies with puttos and flowers motif ✨
What's your favorite view of these peach & white poms? ⚪️🍑⚪️ And what should I make with the peaches I got from the farmer's market? 😋
Spooky season is heading our way and it’s time to prepare with some cute crochet.
Believe it or not this bat is one of my top selling products. You can get the finished product on Etsy. The pattern is temporarily unavailable while my website undergoes some maintenance but it will be back soon!
This is my current progress on my Charmander! I'm going for a medium/large shape. It will be the biggest thing I've made. I started with one roll of this color but my bf and I went shopping. I was worried one wouldn't be enough, well it was off sale at that time but I got two more rolls of this color to be safe. But I do love this color.
I keep seeing a LOT of my friends here, and accounts I follow being in a motivational/emotional/creative slump. A lot of people seem sad. Yes, yes I know, it happens, people get sad, but it's like I blinked, and now the occasional friend feeling down is more like a cluster of friends who aren't feeling so great. I love posting and sharing my work, love the constructive criticism, and creative comments. And I wanted to share my progress as a post, and I kept putting it off. Why? So here it is!
I've been feeling not so great, and I want it to change. So here's me changing it. I'm setting new goals.
1. Attempt to make decent progress on my Charmander each day.
2. Make a pug cup holder that I've been putting off.
3. Eat breakfast more often.
4. Go to bed sooner so i don't feel so bummed and exhausted the next day
5. Start waking up earlier, because when I was doing that, I felt good and productive.
6. Attempt a granny square shawl
If you're feeling sh*tty too just remembered these sucky days will pass, you still need to eat, you matter, I'm so proud of you for getting up and out of bed. Remember to eat, brush your teeth, try to do something you love. Sometimes you need to take things day by day and thats okay.
I have a lot of crochet ideas I can't wait to try, them and show you all. I feel a bit better just setting goals.
